… 100k, aka chad kukahiko.
Originally from Hilo on the Big Island, Chad Kukahiko graduated from the Kamehameha Schools, Kapālama campus. He has spent over half his life performing in more than fifty plays, and performed for two years on the road with STOMP. His film and television appearances include ‘Charmed’, ‘Killian’s Chronicle’ and ‘Mid-Century’ with John Glover and fellow Boston University alum Faye Dunaway. He also co-wrote and co-starred with recording artist Kyle Puccia, in the rock musical ‘Longshot’, which debuted at the 2000 New York Fringe festival. As a musician he has been signed to Elektra Records and as a singer and song-writer he completed production of the album ‘swell’ in 2005, and continues to develop music for the electronic project 100k and the acoustic superfreakos. His current fiction project, Last Days, is repped by Maier Management and can be followed on its blog at lastdaysonline.com.
With his brother, Denton Kukahiko, and his long-time girlfriend, Kendall Hawley, Chad founded superfreako productions in 2007 with whom he has made a series of short films and trailers. superfreako productions is currently in post-production on the short film Carefully Descending which will begin it’s festival tour in the fall of 2010. They’re also currently in-preparation for their first feature film, Ms Young, a murder-mystery about love, friendship and betrayal, which is currently scheduled to begin principal photography in the spring of 2011.
